Tons of retouching work
Not sure if most of you know that my profession is not only illustration, but also photo retouching.
Here’s some of the stuff I’ve been working on that’s been taking time away from painting [well besides COD4].
I must say that every photo set/photo has its own challenges, things to color correct, objects to replace/remove etc… Each client desires certain looks; some want glossy, over the top lighting, extra vibrancy, nips and tucks. But most want what I do best and is what separates me from most other photo retouchers, an edit that looks as if it had not been retouched and looks natural.
I will post up some links to before and after shots so you can get an look at the work that goes into some of these images.

Alexandra: Redux 08
Part of my 08 touch up series. I am going thru the archives and making some of my pieces, up to today’s standard. The 1st is Alexandra, not sure if this was from 06 or 07 but she caused somewhat of a splash, I ran outta gas in the end since she was initially for a magazine spot and the deadline was close, she never did make it. Anyways, I touched up her face, made her “prettier” in my opinion and gave her a lil texture.

Photoshop CS4 Beta, Jai Lynn Sketch 2
Hey people out there in internets land. I’m taking Photoshop CS4 Beta for a spin and found out a new feature, one that I have been longing for in Photoshop ever since I started using Painter. A rotate tool!!!!!!! I’m in love!!! You can see it from this screenshot of the Jaime sketch 2.

1st sketch: Miss Jaime Lynn C.
The lovely, the beautiful, Miss Jai. This is the 1st sketch for her portrait, and since it came out so well I’ll use this as the basis.
